My wife and I are excited to bring Roof Maxx to Miami-Dade! We are a husband and wife team that enjoys working together (believe it or not).
We spent a decade living near loved ones in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where my son lives and where we also own a property damage restoration company. With the addition of our Roof Maxx business, we are back in Miami full-time since April 2022.
We are Floridians through and through. Elaine is half Cuban and was born and raised in the Kendall area. She loves Miami to her core. Florida is where my roots are as well. When we're not reviving roofs in Miami or restoring homes and businesses in Milwaukee, we spend time with family and friends where I grew up in Tampa.
We are currently working on expanding our Florida based company, Revive My Roof LLC, to include a Roof Maxx dealership in Milwaukee, additional to our Miami-Dade location. Our two teams combined will give us the ability to serve both of the communities that we love so much as well as the resources to travel nationally to help homeowners and businesses across the US save thousands reviving their existing roof, instead of replacing.
Additional to the Roof Maxx asphalt shingle rejuvenation treatment, Revive My Roof provides flat roof silicone coatings and roof maintenance services such as softwash cleaning, tune-up, and repairs.
Elaine and I are passionate about our business and the communities we serve. However, we do enjoy time off on occasion to hike the everglades and Wisconsin forests together.
Elaine also loves beach time in the warm South Florida sunshine and I love... well, fine-tuning our businesses in my down time. Elaine sometimes tells me I need to take a break :).
Our timing to relocate from Milwaukee back to Miami changed when Elaine's mother (who lives in Miami) was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and needed our care.
After the move, when I realized the day to day of our Milwaukee business was in good hands with our operations manager, Dan Grandaw, I began to research what service we could offer that our Miami-Dade community could benefit from. There were many options, but Roof Maxx stood out from all of them.
The asphalt shingle rejuvenation technology blew me away. Elaine and I immediately realized the synergy with our restoration business in not only helping people restore their home or business after water, fire, or mold damage, but also help them prevent damage from happening in the first place!

Property insurance carriers in Florida often want homeowners to have a new roof installed at around 15 years of life on their current roof. However, Florida law changed in 2022 requiring insurance carriers to base their decision on the condition of the roof, not the age, and to allow the homeowner to have their own inspector provide a Roof Condition Certification. 1. We work closely with Miami based, Florida licensed home inspector James Gonte to provide our customers with a roof inspection and a Roof Condition Certification to submit to their insurance company for review as an acceptable alternative to roof replacement. We also provide a photo report of us applying the Roof Maxx treatment, restoring the condition of the roof to "like-new". This process has worked for many Roof Maxx customers in Florida.
2. Hurricanes are an issue in South Florida. Shingles rejuvenated with the Roof Maxx treatment function like new again. With their flexibility restored, they are less likely to break off in a windstorm. Multiple Roof Maxx customers experienced little to no damage in the 2022 hurricanes that affected south and central Florida.
3. In south Florida, due to the intense heat and UV rays, shingles dry out and reach end of life a lot sooner than other parts of the country. Shingle life is about 10-15 years here without Roof Maxx treatments. Past that, you are taking a big risk. After 5 years of life, the sooner you start treatments the sooner Roof Maxx can extend the life of shingles in south Florida by 10-15 years longer than the typical lifespan, saving you thousands of dollars not having to replace your roof prematurely.
