I spent many years in the senior home care industry and in June of 2021 I found the Roof Maxx opportunity too intriguing to resist. After all, I spent many years helping people inside their homes, why not help people keep their homes safe and dry with Roof Maxx?
I graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing in 1985, where I also had the privilege of serving as "Aubie The Tiger", the Auburn mascot. I have a beautiful wife, Heather, and three daughters, as well as a cute little grandson. I enjoy golf, hunting and church - but I really love spending time with family and friends.
When I decided to become a Roof Maxx dealer, I knew that I would need to hire someone whom I could trust to help with the business - so I turned to Brett Kittleson, a trusted family friend for years. Brett is our General Manager and adds a lot of talent because he is smart, dependable and a true and humble person. I knew that customers would like and trust Brett because he is a very sincere guy. The only problem is that Brett graduated from Alabama, and that does tend to cause some inner office squabbles at times. :)
I had a very good career in senior home care. I was the president of two franchises of Home Instead Senior Care, but, it became increasingly difficult to hire and retain quality employees. With nearly 300 employees to rely on, it became a constant source of stress for me. I began to search for business opportunities in the Spring of 2021 and came across Roof Maxx. My first reaction after seeing the opportunity was "Wow, does something like this really exist, and does it really work?" After much research, including calls to existing dealers, I found that it truly does work, and I had to give it a try.
It has been really scary leaving a salaried career with benefits to go out on my own, but I believe so strongly in the product and I am so excited for the future of Roof Maxx in the Memphis area.
